DBE-Message from Earth at the International Space Station

DBE-Message from Earth at the International Space Station

We are thrilled to announce that our DBE Message from Earth, encapsulated into a scented clay cube, will fly to the International Space Station on Feb. 19, 2022! Our DBE Message from Earth emotion tuner will fly to this final frontier of human habitat space with Nanoracks aboard the Antares rocket within the framework of a Northrop Grumman Cygnus NG-17 resupply mission from NASA Flights Facility in Wallops Island, Virginia, USA. Our DBE Message from Earth will be placed within the MoonGallery’s 8x8 grid of 1 cm3 cells housing 64 physical artifacts and one engraved AR artwork. This event will mark the historical meeting point of the Moon Gallery, of which our DBE Message from Earth is a part of it, and the cosmos.

Bernard Foing, chairman of MoonGallery Foundation and of LUNEX Lunar Explorers, says: “ Reaching low Earth orbit on our way to the Moon is the first step in extending our cultural dialogue to space.”

“For this mission, we have collected art pieces that carry important values for humanity not only at this point on Earth but also for a future multi planetary society. The final artworks to be exhibited at the International Space Station will be the “pioneers” of the MoonGallery: our first pieces to go to space and to channel our values into the universe”, says the MoonGallery curator team. After the exhibition, the gallery will be safely returned to Earth to prepare it for the next adventure: for the flight to the Moon, hopefully in 2025!

A number of MoonGallery artists and experts will be present for a series of events in New-York (Feb. 16), Washington DC (Feb 18), Wallops Island launch base (Feb.19) to celebrate space, science, arts and astronauts. DBE- Message from Earth will be presented there by Eva Petrič.

Other MoonGallery space artists will join the events virtually from all over the world.

Recognition for innovation

DBE 528 Hz- was awarded the Silver Innovation Award by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia awards for innovation represent the highest recognition for innovative achievements of Slovenian companies and other organizations, and thus the promotion of innovation in Slovenia.  It is the largest, most resonant, and most recognizable Slovenian event in the field of innovation intended for recognizing, connecting, and rewarding Slovenian innovators.

The series of DBE 528 Hz fragrances definitely stood out from all the other nominated and awarded innovations, being the only one not related to telephone apps or the pharmaceutical niche, but instead to that immaterial, but nevertheless very present and actual aspect that demands our attention, our human layer composed of that which makes us human - our memories, dreams, visions, traumas, and emotions.

We are truly happy that judging from the comments of other awardees and jury, that there is still awareness for the need to preserve what it means to be a human from the point of view of technology and innovation, for if we lose our ability to strive to realize our visions, we lose our most human attribute, our ability to visualize, conceptualize and innovate, also on an emotional level.

THANK YOU to everyone who has helped us along the way to make it to this point!

GLEX 2021 & ISS Payload Gallery

DBE - A Message from Earth - aboard NG-17

We are happy to share that Moon Gallery is part of the Global Space Exploration Conference (GLEX) 2021 in St.Petersburg between 14-19 June 2021. As humanity expands into the solar system, so will art!

Moon Gallery proposes the first permanent extraterrestrial art gallery extending our cultural dialogue beyond Earth, to the Moon, and into deep space. For this mission, Moon Gallery selected art pieces that carry important values for humanity, not only presently on Earth,  but also for future multi-planetary societies. And DBE - A Message from Earth does exactly this!

In February of 2022 Moon Gallery will carry out its first space flight aboard NG-17 and dock its artistic payload at the International Space Station. “ISS Payload Gallery” shown in St. Petersburg celebrates this endeavour and exhibits a collection of the first shortlisted artefacts and their prototypes at AIR Gallery before dazzling its very first audience in space.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with ITMO University - Art Science department.

The event will conclude with a mini-conference and a workshop instigating dialogue and fueling interdisciplinary exchange between Space Sciences, Technology and Arts. The event is supported by the delegates of GLEX 2021 - Global Space Exploration Conference and IAF (International Astronautical Federation) Technical Activities Committee for the Cultural Utilisation of Space (ITACCUS).

ASEF Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Sunita Williams!

DBE - A Message from Earth - the award for a great astronaut.

The astronaut, with Slovene roots, Captain Sunita Williams, is this year's recipient of the ASEF Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to space exploration and science!

Captain Williams is an extraordinary person, a woman who is a true record holder amongst space travelers and therefore also our inspiration!

We are very honored that ASEF, the American Slovenian Education Foundation has awarded her the "DBE 528 Hz - Message from Earth" fragrance, to mark this special occasion. The DEB - data bank of emotions fragrance,  strives to alleviate astronauts of feelings of isolation in outer space by catalyzing for the Earthing in them to stay alive; keeping them in contact with Earth and the Earthing that they are.

Our sincere congratulations to Captain Sunita Williams for her awe-inspiring achievements!

Dear Captain Willimas, we wish for you to stay connected to our planet Earth, in spite of wherever your next journey into outer space may take you!

International Collaborative Art Work

DBE – A Message from Earth – presented at a Gallery of ideas worth sending to the Moon

At Leiden University, Moon Gallery built a bridge to space. This symbolic bridge - "THE BRIDGE" connects art with the Innovation Center and the Field. The Field represents the Earth with a presentation of artworks, and the Innovation Center symbolizes the Moon, where the Moon Lander will take, among other things, a panel with 99 mini cubes, each containing an artistic idea.

Moon Gallery: The Bridge exhibits 36 micro-art objects selected so far, 9 prototypes and 7 posters representing universal values and human desires imagined and materialized by the artists of the Moon Gallery. Among them is the fragrance #DBE - A Message from Earth, soaked in a piece of clay, with which the authors wanted to influence future space travelers and keep them connected to Earth.

You are invited to attend the online opening of Moon Gallery: Bridge at Leiden University Innovation Center on March 19 from 11 am to 1 pm. Join via Zoom:
